Ingredients (for the cake):

  • 75gms - Flour
  • 75gms  - Sugar
  • 10gms - Cocoa powder
  • 1/4tsp -  Baking soda
  • 40ml - Coffeeza Hazelnut flavoured espresso
  • 10ml - Vegetable oil


  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder, ensuring a thorough blend.
  • In another bowl, mix together the sugar, espresso, and oil.
  • Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until a uniform batter forms.
  • Pour this batter into a greased and lined quarter tray.
  • Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes. (Serves 2)

  • 100gms -  Whipping Cream
  • 30ml - Coffeeza Hazelnut-flavoured espresso
  • 30gms  - Dark Chocolate
  • 30gms  - Icing Sugar


  • Melt the dark chocolate with the gentle warmth of the coffee.
  • Whip the whipping cream together with the icing sugar, then delicately fold in the cooled, melted chocolate and coffee mixture.

Instructions to assemble:

  • Cut the cake to match the size of the 4-inch springform mould, placing it within the confines of acetate sheets.
  • Gently pour in the mousse and allow it to set overnight.
