Frequently asked questions
What is AA Specialty Coffee?
All Coffeeza ground coffees are premium and superior in taste because we only use AA Specialty beans.
AA Specialty Coffee refers to a high-grade coffee classification. It represents premium quality, characterized by large, dense beans, complex flavor profiles, and stringent quality control.
AA grade beans are larger, more nutrient-rich and deliver a better tasting cup.
Specialty coffee refers to coffee that scores 80 points or above on a 100-point scale by a certified coffee taster (Q Grader) or by a coffee organization like the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
Where is the coffee sourced from?
All our coffees are sourced from top Indian coffee estates in Chikmagalur and Coorg.
What equipment do I need to brew ground coffee?
You'll need ground coffee, hot water, and a coffee maker, such as a moka pot, drip coffee maker, French press, pour-over setup, or espresso machine. Each type of coffee maker requires a specific grind size. Refer to the grind size guide below for more information.
What is the best water-to-coffee ratio?
A common starting ratio is 2 tablespoons of ground coffee 15 gms per 180 ml of water. Adjust according to your taste preference.
What’s the best way of storing ground coffee?
To keep ground coffee fresh, store it in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dark place like a pantry, away from heat and moisture. Our ground coffee bags have a one way valve and zipper which makes storage easier. Avoid refrigeration or freezing, as this can introduce moisture. Keep the coffee away from strong odors, as it can absorb them. Ideally buy fresh coffee every 15 days.
